In the winter of 2006, Misco Products Corp., a specialty manufacturer of cleaning solutions, suffered a devastating fire. Thankfully no people were harmed, but the plant suffered extensive damage. The architect devised a phasing plan, initially stabilizing and weatherproofing the existing structure so the company could continue manufacturing, and then addressing the reconstruction of the damaged facility.

But the owners did not just want to rebuild, they wanted to redesign for the future. The architect and engineers worked together with Misco to create a facility that was not just as good as before the fire, but better, larger and safer. MLNAI designed HVAC systems for the facility that provided greater energy savings than before and also created much safer indoor environmental air quality for the employees working in the factory.
