The purpose of the study was to determine the feasibility of renovating this multi-story personal care facility into assisted living space in order to better match current market demands. Our engineers were asked to evaluate the existing mechanical and electrical systems to determine what would be required to modify, replace, or add to the existing systems in order to bring them up to current standards of code safety and energy efficiency. Through field observations, discussions with members of the staff, and analysis of existing and proposed systems, a report was generated describing the necessary and/or recommended changes.
