Centre Community Hospital AHU 8 Replacement

The hospital was completing a multiple-project renovation across several years, to an area of approximately 7,000 sq. ft. served by a critical 24 hour-per-day central station air-handling unit. As with all high-velocity dual duct air-handling systems of the 1950’s -70’s vintage, this unit exhibited extreme deficiencies.

As part of our design criteria, we were required to determine how to get a new piece of air-handling equipment into the heart of an interior, below grade mechanical space buried beneath the core of a busy healthcare facility. Only custom air-handling equipment would include every feature required to obtain optimal performance characteristics as well as the flexibility to be installed in place.
