In order to increase energy efficiency and to enhance the appearance of the corridors and common areas within this three-story elderly apartment building at Two West Penn Street in Carlisle, PA, the Housing Authority of the County of Cumberland proposed a lighting upgrade that would take place in conjunction with an in-house painting and re-papering project. Areas affected by the upgrade included corridors, reading lounges, laundry rooms, elevator lobbies, a community room and kitchen, public restrooms, office and maintenance areas. More energy efficient exit signage was also included in the change-out.
